In the last year I have really started to build a reputation for Events Make up.
It is very different type of work from commercials or fashion shoots, I put budgets together (something I learnt about when working on the other side in production companies pre make up artist years). I also design all the looks and put a trusted team of muas together, lots of prep work but enables me to be more illustrative and creative. I have a fab team of make up artists that I use.
Most clients request make up for not only the staff but also guests. The latest is an event of 60 staff and 500 guests, so the jobs are huge in numbers of make ups produced, is about speed and finish.
When I design looks I go back to basics, creating mood boards and drawing up possible designs.
