Winter has finally hit, the winter wardrobe is out and the central heating is now officially on.
At the moment I am seeing a lot of posts of people feeling run down, or with colds and flus so I thought I would write a few little beauty and health tips to help us feel good.
Firstly the most important thing is the obvious wrapping up warm and keeping our immune systems fully charged. Lots of healthy eating but some supplemets could do some good too. I swear by wither IMMUALL or WINTER WELLNESS. The winter wellness contains things like echinacea, garlic, ginger, propolis, vitamin A,C,D,zinc and and more. Is a great all rounder.
I also think MANUKA honey is fab, it can be expensive, but ither take a spoonful neat or day or add in your drinks. (Water must be warm not boiling otherwise kills all the goodness in the honey).
Winter skin Tips (Natural remedies):
In Winter our skin can become super dry, look for products that contain sweet almond oil, apricot, and berries, all of which are very hydrating and will help regenerate tissues without blocking pores.
Almond oil can also be used as a super all round moisturiser. You can use it on your hands, lips, and even as a gentle moisturiser.
After a long hard day why not treat yourself to a long soaky bath, adding lavender oil can sooth skin and can help alleviate aches and pains, it is also a marvelous sleep aid.
Natural exfoliation to rid of dead skin- grab some oats and crush them into a paste with some water and rub lightly over the face and neck for natural exfoliation and a healthy glow. Do NOT use on sensitive skin.
Rejuvenate and Detox:
Over the christmas season keep rejuvinating your skin from he inside out, by eating sunflower, pumkin, and sesame seeds. They are packed with good essential fats, vitamins and minerals, include them in your diet at least three – four times a week fr best results.
If you feel you are needing a deotx through the christmas period too, try salt baths. They can encourage detoxification of your whole body and are particularly good for problem skin and fluid retention.
Drinking camomile before bed is a good way to reduce under eye bags, both by helping you get a good nights sleep and by reducing facial tension, which can cause dark circles.
